I. Presence and Purpose Mini-Retreat:
Bring your team to the Presence and Purpose Mini-Retreat to learn some simple techniques to slow down and come to presence. Then, from this place of presence, seated comfortably around the fire, we will take you through a facilitated, nature-inspired exercise to reflect together on your shared purpose and consider what opportunities might exist going forward.
The experience includes: Facilitation of the session including: setting the stage, guided practice to settle into the present moment, guided reflection exercise, and group dialogue on shared purpose/opportunities.
II. Mindful Communication Mini-Retreat:
Based on insights from Jen’s PhD research, the Mindful Communication Mini-Retreat is designed to build participant capacity for communication and bolster your team’s ability to harness collective intelligence and creativity. Seated around the fire in our beautiful setting, your team will learn some of the key aspects of mindful communication and practice those skills in a facilitated, fireside dialogue on a topic of your choosing.
The experience includes: Facilitation of the session including: setting the stage, mindful communication instruction and guided practice, and group dialogue.
III. Customizable Mini-Retreat for your Team - Topic of your choice:
For this retreat, we will meet with you beforehand to determine your specific needs and design a 2½ to 3-hour session to accomplish your goals. Perhaps you need to invigorate an ideation process, perhaps you are looking to build team cohesion, or perhaps you are working through a particular problem or challenge and could benefit from a change in scenery to inspire new ways of thinking and seeing. Whatever your needs, we can customize a Fireside Mini-Retreat for you.

About Jen Mason, Your Facilitator
I love building community and connection with groups to help them think better together. I have worked as an educator and process designer for over 20 years with people of all ages and in all kinds of settings. I have a PhD in Sustainability Education and an MA in Education from Prescott College, as well as a BEd and a BA in Political Science from Queen’s University. My work and research sit at the confluence of resilience and complexity theory, whole-system change, dialogue theory and practice, organizational learning, mindfulness, transformative learning theory, experiential education, and nature connection. Bringing my love of learning and a deep sense of humility, I work with thoughtful purpose and infectious playfulness.
About Your Facilitator: Carly O'Brien
Since 1996, Carly has been working with groups and individuals to advance thinking and excellence in performance. Clients include post-secondary institutions, private business owners, professional services firms, not-for-profit leaders and business partnership teams. Clients seek Carly out for her practical way of articulating situations, offering practical suggestions and for meeting them where they are to help them achieve their own goals. Her own mission is Dining rooms through Boardrooms and as a member of the team at Intrigue, she helps empower leaders to strengthen communities. Carly has herself opened a successful professional services business that operated successfully for several years before she chose to join a larger team and scale for greater impact.
